Cyberbullying Why it Should Stop

Cyberbullying.  Most people on the net are probably never going to experience it firsthand, only through stories (like this one) that details the ordeals others have gone through because someone has decided to take the anonymity of the Internet for granted for nefarious deeds.  Attacking others seems to be the in thing, or at least it seems so more often than not.  Especially in console first person shooters. Brawl Busters Receives Buster’s Inferno Update

Brawl Busters, a free to play online PC fighting game, has just received a pretty big update today.  Buster’s Inferno drops a new map- Burning Adventure, raises the character level cap to 45 and adjusts the underlying game play elements based on player requests. (more…)

A Valley Without Wind 2 Hits Steam With Sale In Tow

A Valley Without Wind 2 continues the 2D side scrolling action that the first game started and is available on Steam with a nice little sale price to help get new gamers acclimated to the title.  2D side scrolling games are a dying breed, for sure, so when a good one comes along, we have to support the publisher and developers, if at all possible. “Project Giana” Drops Playable Levels This Month

In the eighties, the now-deceased founder of Germany’s Black Forest Games (formerly Spellbound Entertainment) created The Great Giana Sisters, a Super Mario Bros. clone. Nintendo had the game pulled off the shelves for its similarities to their famed Italian plumber, and with the exception of an homage for the DS in 2009, it seemed the franchise would stagnate from then on.

AirMech Beta Lands on Steam

Indie developer Carbon Games has been sitting on a secret. The Beta for their upcoming strategy title “AirMech” has been available for use as a Native Client game on the Chrome browser since February. They’re ready to let the cat out of the bag now, as the game went live on Steam yesterday (August 6) and is currently available to anyone who purchases the AirMech Beta Bundle (19.99 USD).

Project Giana on Kickstarter- The Return of 2D Platforming Bliss

2D platformers are a dying breed.

Longtime fans of the genre will make mention of a plumber, a couple of rodents and even a caveman among a myriad of other oddities that no one in their right mind would have thought of. But that is for console gamers. Now, ask a computer gamer from the times before Windows and you will receive different answers- mainly one answer: The Great Giana Sisters, which was actually based QUITE A BIT on the model that Nintendo used for Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo Entertainment System.
