The Community Games began life as the proof of concept from Connor McDonald’s wanting to change the way fans were treated after taking the time to post comments and provide feedback to an authors writing. Unlike larger sites where reader comments are ignored by the article author, TCG writers took the time to respond to fan responses, to criticism and helped foster discussion. The fans of TCG were number one as cliché as it sounds, it is true.
Connor pulled together like minded individuals to provide some extremely popular articles that catered to not just video game fans but other facets of entertainment including movies, table top games and more. As time went on, life also continued for all involved and members dropped off the radar as time became a premium for them. That is why The Community Games is now going through a metamorphosis, a change that will rock the site to the core and take it to all new levels of success.
The Community Games’ new look and direction will be all new and unique. TCG will enter the competitive world of aggregation services that similar sites already “control”. Ways that The Community Games will set itself apart is through rewarding dedication and hard work of the members with more than simply a “rank” or more voting power than another member. Members that support TCG and earn the top rank for the day with an article of theirs will earn an entry in the monthly drawing for a prize. We will also be rewarding members who post interesting, thoughtful, conversation starting style replies to articles.
